Hails from New Zealand
Wanting to say Hi

Have enjoyed visiting this forum since it started.

I love painting outdoors!

Have taken a class for about the past four years and each term two of the eight mornings were taken up by a trip out to paint. Got many moans and groans at first but the security of being out with the class overcame many fears and everyone became as enthusiastic as I was. On one trip I asked for suggestions as to a venue and believe it or not the unanimous choice was to visit a cemetery. I usually chose the location and would not ever have comtemplated that, but that mornings work was some of the best that they did. You just never can tell about subject matter.

Thought I might post this one. Acrylic on board. approx 8in x 10in. Apologies for bad scan and glare. Best attempt. It was a grey wintry day - a scene painted not too far from Auckland airport.

Thanks for looking in advance,

regards Pam

Hi
.. your winters are green .. ours are mostly white. The first trip I made was to a cemetary .. nice, quiet, and it borders on a forest and a lake so there are lots of nice spots to set up and you can stay outside the parameters of people who might think it disrespectful as this one is being populated from the inside out.

Hi Wayne,

everything is green here all the time. LOL.

Maybe I should return to do a cemetery painting myself. Will give it some thought.
