My experiment with impressionism

This one was done during my impressionistic phase

Actually it is another excercise from a book. An excercise of which I am not sure what the point was. However, I decided to go for an impressionistic style.

Again, please C&C. Thank you all!

This is nice. I like the atmosphere and the colouring. The water looks excellent.

Re: My experiment with impressionism

It looks like an impressionistic landscape to me and I really like those foreground grasses as well as the colors you have in this painting.

Difficult to say anything if you don't tell us what the point of the exercise was ... it looks very unfinished. I like the colors and the blinding sun. I don't like those foreground grasses, they look "crafty" to me. If you leave everything to the imagination in the background, you need to do the same for the foreground to get a cohesive picture - just my immpression.
