Pets/animals-project For April 2007!
Here's a fun project coming your way! It will be an ongoing project starting right now! Post your images here on this thread with descriptions, sizes etc
It will be Pets (dogs, cats, birds, turtles etc etc)..."Animals" are part of the title, so it can also be anything from owls to elephants and in between!!!!!
Size limit will be 24" square, i.e. 4x6, 3x8, or under those sizes!
So let's get the brushes, inks, watercolors, acrylics, oils, scratchboards, mixed medias etc etc out and get those kitties, doggies, birdies and any other animals you choose painted and posted!!!
Looking forward to seeing it all!!

Re: Pets/animals-project For April 2007!
I love Animal Paintings, so this is going to be such a fun Project Bertoni.
I'll start the ball rolling with a Koala I first penned with Ink, and then coloured with Watercolours. Size is 3.5"x2.5" on Premier Watercolour Paper 216 gsm.

Great project! I don't know yet what I'll do, but count me in.
Val, great job on the texture of the koala! He looks so sweet. I hear they are actually very aggressive little creatures!

Re: Pets/animals-project For April 2007!
Now THIS is a project that I can definatly have some fun with!
I am working on an Animal now- Should be done in the next few days...
Until then, if anyone cares to take a 'peek' at my previous animal work, you can see it on my NEW web page, (which isn't 100% finished yet) at http://www.lessthansix.com... 'Normal sized' and enlarged scans of all my recent work are up and running!

This sounds like a tonne of fun! Here's one that I finished just a short time ago. Its oil on canvas paper and its ACEO size (2.5" x 3.5").

Re: Pets/animals-project For April 2007!
This one probably isn't 'Finished', but its at the stage where I stop, put it down for a while, and then take another look- Here are my latest Sandhill Cranes- This time a Mother and babies!
It is 3" x 2". Graphite on Film-
(Actual Size)
(Enlarged)
The 'outlining' around the birds isnt really quite that harsh in real life.
Any suggestions welcome!~

Madelaine -- A great little Chickadee -- I always love your bird paintings.
Andrew -- Great detail in your drawing. The feathers and the background are especially terrific, but I love the entire thing.

A fish sculpture made from metal,5 inch wide and 4 inch height.I painted on wood and on metal lately, but painting on a metal surface gives a more shiny look.

Re: Pets/animals-project For April 2007!
Hi Everyone
I am a newbie to this site, but hopefully I have managed to upload a picture of my very first miniature. It is 2.5" x 3.5" and done in coloured pencil and is a picture of my daughters dog. If it doesnt work then please could someone let me know the right way to go about sharing my pictures.
Thanks
Mysty
