Just for fun- with...gouache!

Hello,

I'm playing actually with gouache (extra-fine Linel), trying to understand how JC Chaillou a master of watercolor is using them in his pictures...and...I like using it too!

Just an experience for sharing with you, using a composition of M de May for the drawing (another french watercolourist)

Hope you'll enjoy it!

friendly

Françoise

Hi Francoise, this is a beautiful piece but I think it should be in the new gallery plus.

Yes, Francoise, I am enjoying it! just enough reality (daisies and fence) and just enough atmospheric background to evoke the abstract! A beautiful image!

Francoise - this is simply beautifully done - great light and I love the colours.

I will ask one of the mods to move this to the Watercolour Plus gallery for you.

Re: Just for fun- with...gouache!

Hi Francoise, this is beautiful I love the light you have captured in this one.

I have moved this thread to the Watercolour Plus Gallery, as Gouache is in effect Watercolour Paint with a little something extra added, so it will fit nicely in there.

I have also placed a copy of this thread in the Gouache Forum, yes we do have a forum for Gouache Painters just like you, so maybe follow this link and take a look there. There are some great work there and they are always on the look out for new talent.

Hi,

and many thanks for all your kind comments, a special one for Roun2it who move my post, sorry I'ven't seen that new section..

No white gouache just the white of paper, I've used drawing-gum to mask the paper

Françoise

Another one?

Same "technique" and same size 32/41 cm on blue Montval

Re: Just for fun- with...gouache!

Hi Judy, Tina

Thanks you too

Judy yes I've water the gouache as if it was watercolor. JC Chaillou tells that this kind of gouache is quite similar, the only difference with watercolor is with the pigments less thin than in watercolor (wish you'll understand what I mean!!)

I've made a step by step but it is completly in french, I need to translate it, ouille ouille ouille!!!

Here it is in french, I'll try to translate it in the afternoom
