Look into my Eyes
This one is posted in the Wildlife forum also.
He is a 16"x20" Palette knife painting.

Re: Look into my Eyes
You've captured quite a bit of detail considering you used a palette knife....I like the bold contrast, very nice and a very intent looking Canus.

This fellow is hard to resist! A very compelling image! I like how you have kept the colour scheme simple and the direct eye contact is magic.

Re: Look into my Eyes
Tami,
I really like those penetrating eyes. The background really serves to accentuate the glow of that stare. Very nice

Re: Look into my Eyes
As Sandy said, the eye contact is magic and rather hypnotising. They look great against the neutral coloring of the wolf.

Like the simplicity of this and the glowing background emphasising the mesmerising eyes. Well done.

Re: Look into my Eyes
Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
He was a lot of fun and did not take as long as one might think. The great thing about using the knife on a piece like this is that less is more. I used a gel additive to the paint to thicken it to my liking and then "sculpted" the colors together. The eyes I used a brush on to get that transparent glaze effect.
