Nick, you are SO on a roll! I love the last shot--it looks like you're considering whether or not to pour your coffee on the painting.
Congratulations! I wish I could have seen the show.
P.S. Have I missed seeing the painting you were working on here?

Not our Nick!!!
What are you using in the first shot? A wad of paper towels?

Nicker! Congratulations. (I seem to be saying that to you on a daily basis now -- but I'll never tire of doing it, so keep on doing what yer doing!)
Like Kate, I want to see what the end result of that painting is you were working on, and... I notice you have a quite a few more tables in your studio since I visited. However, your paint supply looks about the same (dismal) , but at least you've upgraded from a cardboard box to a plastic container.
I love the shot of you (4th from the bottom) where it looks like you are describing how large ... um... well, let's just say that I've seen this animation before and I know that you are just telling her a tall tale, or possibly relaying a certain train trip through Belarus
Keep on kicking butt Nick!
Deb
(edit: There is also a painting on the first page of your website I haven't seen before. Details??? pleaseP

Re: Maryland Public TV feature pics, Dec. 2006
No spilled coffee in that shot, that's a trick I like to start the demos with...need to patent that btw. Also that hairdryer as since given out, I'm now on approx. #20, the new one is a Conair 1600 for the equipment freaks out there.
The finished painting is on my site, scroll down to "October"

Don't tempt me to disprove the tall tale charge, Deb! And did I tell you my Belorussian train story??? That's not a place you want to be w/o visa, I had to sneak over the border to russia (and lived to tell about it).
thanks everyone! Nick

Had a look at October, that was the waterfront one Koi Joy, is that the same one.
Great to see such a large pour , one day I'll get enough courage to try one.
I've never used my acrylics that way , seems far more effective, you may be converting me

Re: Maryland Public TV feature pics, Dec. 2006
Oh......... I couldda had a V-8. I am sooooo upset.
I was in Havre de Grace in July. It a beautiful picturesque town.
My 12yr. old grandson was playing at the Cal Ripken World Series. (Our team won 3rd in the world, got beat out my Hawaii, whom we had previously beaten in pool play.)
We visited the lighthouse in Havre de Grace, but no gallaries were open that day. If I had know you were represented by RoCo (but that was before I knew about WetCanvas Site) , I would have made another trip downtown and skipped some ballgames.
Oh.... I couldda seen an original "Nick Simmons" up close. ( I don't see any icon for tears. )
Maybe one day.
Congratulations again, Nick.

Re: Maryland Public TV feature pics, Dec. 2006
Nick -- are you saying that the painting you are pouring above ended up being Windswept! No way! Getta outta town!
You didn't answer my question about the painting on your home page Aegis II. Is there a thread on that painting that I missed? It's a killer and I'd like to know more about it.
Deb
P.S. I orderd my roll of Fabrianio Artistico SP paper yesterday. DickBlick has 10% of every item, so I felt I got it for a song I also broke down and bought some full sheets of Rough. I'm starting to like that texture.
