Project Discussion: April: Animal Art Project
A new project has been announced in the WetCanvas! project system!
Title: April: Animal Art Project
Project Leader: animal
Relative Difficulty: Medium
Type Restrictions: Any Type
Medium: Any Medium
Subject: Wildlife
Days open for signups: Always
Maximum participants allowed: Unlimited
Description:
Using the reference image provided, produce your work of art.
Do show your progress images and tell us what techniques you are using to complete your work. If you like, you can do both images!
You can work in watercolors, oils, pastel, acrylics, or perhaps you want to draw or sculpt. Any medium you choose will be good for us to discuss.
Remember, you are to only use the reference image below.
The object of this project is to work from one reference photograph and for all of us to see how we all accomplish this task and to share our knowledge.
Be sure to post progress pics in the special thread or inside the project, and be sure to tell us what you are doing and why.
Additional Information:
For more information on the project: Click here!
Remember, in order to help keep the discussions on projects organized, you should post your questions, suggestions, and comments on submitted work here in this thread. By doing this, we allow other non-project efforts to not get "pushed down" by a swarm of project-related threads.

Here is my first progress entry. Should I try the foliage background, or some other background or leave the Mi Teintes as background? HEEEEEELP! Any comments, suggestions VERY welcome.

In progress, but just a few finishing touches is all I think it needs. What about the background? Does it look ok or should I add more color?

Impressive work, Eileen! His fur is beautifully done, and I kinda like how you've made him smile a little.
I thought the progress work was already very good, but wow, what a finale! I'm glad you did the background. I love it!

Thanks Ariadne. While I was sketching him, I was thinking how I would love to be doing the cp on black thing. Only prob is, I don't have any time.
I'm hating how everything I do lately has to be so quick. And if I don't do 'quick ones' nothing at all will be done. Work is just taking over my life

nice job caron. I like this on the black paper and how you did the eye in brown. Really adds something to it.
