Question- Paintng the sides of the Canvas?

IS it needed, should I do it because people might want to hang without a frame?

Also, I notice that some of my Canvas I purchase they are stapled on the side and not the back... thus would someone then want to even hang it even if its painted...

I am asking because I am selling on Ebay now my daily paintings.... and it came to me that some of these canvas have the staples so should I paint the sides or just tell people you will need to frame this art?

Your thoughts please!!!

HI,
Cavases with side staples should be framed. Without side staples, can be painted and hung without a frame.
Good luck,

Gay

Re: Question- Paintng the sides of the Canvas?

I sell online here, and I always paint the sides, partly becuase I like to, and partly to be able to save pple any extra cost, that way I get all the money!
I do say all boxed canvas can be framed if desired, but not necessary.
I would never use canvasses stapled at the sides, I hate them, they seem so unproffessional..
