background liquin problem, please help.

Hi,

I painted the background using Liquin Fine detail as a medium. Now I’m trying to paint over a small portion of that with the subject matter and the paint is not attaching to it, the paint is just getting pushed around wherever the liquin background is. I don’t know what to do. Can I put something over the part I want to paint on so the paint will actually stick to the canvas again?
Please help.

Thanks,
Kim

Making sure all is dry, try rubbing the area with onion or garlic. No kidding.

LOL, assuming you have tried it and it works, what prompted you to stumble on this solution Robert? I use Liquin so I am going to make a note of this for future reference
