the "old salt"

This is a portait of my Uncle Jim who spent many years in the Navy on different ships and aircraft carriers. He has that tan aged skin of a sailor. My scanner does not do a very good job with colors. In RL it looks much better. It is watercolor with colored pencil for his buzz cut. half sheet arches. Thanks Peg L

Re: the "old salt"

Peg, this is fantastic. I really like how you handled this. The colors look fine and the teeth are awesome. Which is the first thing I was drawn to, they look so real. Wonderful job indeed.

Peace,
AL

Thanks so very much. I did work hard on the mouth and eyes to really show that young sailor of 17 during WWII. He was a devil as they say. Thanks Peg L
