Wow these are superb shots. I can see every feather. Do you ever allow anyone to paint from your photos?

Re: Ruby-throated Hummers

These are terrific. I don't know how you managed to catch these little beauties standing still!

I have a hummingbird feeder where I can see it from my kitchen window. This is the type of hummer that visits it. Would love to take a photo or two, but couldn't get a clear shot if I tried.

They are all good, but my favorite is the last one because of the twisting branch he is sitting on.

Welcome back Sunny, you have been missed. What a lovely series of photo's to celebrate your return, the colours detail are fantastic. In numbers 1 and 2 you have stopped the motion of the wings beautifully.

Dorothy-Yes . I don't mind if you use one-please credit me for the original photo. I'm glad you like them that much.

Rob-Been posting in the pub for a bit but am lazy and don't like posting all the info for each shot so I haven't posted in here till now!
Joy-Hello you and thanks for looking and commenting.
Sylvia-If you put something nearby for them to perch on, they love to sit here's my set-up. They love to sit there & guard the food! I try snapping pix of the fights but they are just a blur!LOL!

Re: Ruby-throated Hummers

Sunny,
Love your set up. Mine is so much more mundane, it hangs from a string tied to an awning support.

I know what you mean about seeing the altercations though. There are four feeder slots, but no one has ever taught them how to share....they want the whole thing to themselves, all the time. LOL!

Thanks for these lovely photos.

Sylvia
