Homestead on Parchment

This is a sketch I did several years ago when I was documenting abandoned homesteads in southwest Wyo. I did several of this old place as there is a lot of history here.

Enjoy...............Bud

I like it very much. It is very descriptive with only a few lines. Very well drawn.

Oh, I wish I could draw like that, it's lovely Wyobud.

Looks nice and loosely drawn.

I appreciate the the comments everybody.

Artdude........this was done on site. I usually pencil in lightly with a #6 lead to set the shapes and make sure the perspective is believable. Quite similar to the way I start my watercolors. If any lines remain I then just erase them.

Wyobud, I always enjoy these historical pieces of yours. You capture them so well, and you don't overdo with additions that would detract from the spirit of the places. Good job!

Great! Being from Idaho, I can relate to this! Hard to imagine living in such. It is nice to record history before it all falls in on itself or vadalized.
