Curved Tube Beads for Bracelets

I was looking in the September Bead Style magazine the other day and saw a bracelet made with long curved tube beads which shaped the bracelet quite nicely.

Question: What length tube is the "best" size for the average wrist? I thought I would just use a nice focal bead in the center (or 2 or 3 smaller beads) and the rest silver. And then, of course, where can I get them for the best price?

I'm thinking Christmas gifts here so I've got a little time. However, I'm a major procrastinator so I figured I'd start early.

around 35mm works really nice for my bracelets. Here is one place that I've gotten them. I'm sure there are lots of others . I forgot to mention- look under noodles.

DFMSparkles (I think that is right- or DMFSparkeles) makes goregous bracelets with these tubes as well as selling them (the tubes) on the Bay. I have bought one and it was a real beauty!

I know your were interested in the sterling or other metal curved beads, but there are also options in glass.

I thought I would mention that tube beads can be made in moretti (or other) glass. Rocio sells a book and the tools to create curved beads for bracelets. First you create the bead on the torch. Then you put the bead in the kiln and press to create a curve.
The beads look great in person. I have not made any yet but I plan to real soon. Here is the website to look at the tools and book.

I have seen the curved beads in person. A very creative concept. The tools are of very good quality and easy to use. Rosio has pics on her site.
