Re: Three Apples WIP
Really great texture!!! And the colors are brilliant, not smudgy!!! It took me a minute to figure out if they were in a bowl or on the table, but, I was interested in finding out, so GREAT crop also!!!

Liz,
The light halo around the crown of the middle apple is just gorgeous! Love this rough linework!! And the deep rich reds of the apples are simply perfect.

Re: Three Apples WIP
Hi,
I like the colours used and especially the fact that you didn't go wild about smudging. Hence that shinny aspect.

Re: Three Apples WIP
So I am assuming that the consensus is that this one is finished? I appreciate all the comments. It really helps to know what other artists are thinking and not just my own thoughts rattling around inside my head. The table has some carving on the section closest to the bottom, but I am considering leaving it out, or just making a suggestion of it, so as not to detract from the focal point.

This is so sumptuous and rich in color! Bound to be noticed at the show! I think the table's best like it is...?

Yummy! I think I have to go check if I have some apples in the kitchen and have a midnight snack.....I can't quite reach these.

Re: Three Apples WIP
Hi. This is a lovely piece. The textures are great and I love the light on the star apple. One small nit, IMO, my eye keeps getting distracted by the dark bit in the corner. Otherwise, I like it.

Liz,
This is gorgeous! I also love the textures, colors, the painterly feeling. The wood is fantastic also!
