Very nice work Jason.
I especially like the touch of the coke bottle lens effect, with the refraction such that the side of the head can be seen it. Bet your friend will like this one quite a bit!
Looking at the nose, ears and mouth area as well, and you have some very wonderful rendering going on there!

You should warn me before I open your posts to read them that you're sick! Maybe that's how I got sick then. Home from school this last week...pneumonia bug, but think it got started with a hacking cough from mixing darkroom photo lab chemicals.
Now...I have had a very large irritated and sore gland...infected, beneath my jaw and headin' for the ear. Just got off one antibiotic for the pneumonia, and today started on horse pill sized penicillin tablets for the infected gland. Good grief!!!

You know...I just noticed how you took the plaid of his shirt, the patterns and made nearly a photoshop type len's flare graphic that fades off into your name. Pretty clever there kiddo! Like that a lot.

Ha!
I was wondering if anyone would notice that! The shirt is something I don't want the viewer to pay attention to, even though it took more work than the face! Weird eh?

You know...Jason keeps signing off with that little devil icon. Hhhmmm...just goes to show you folks, he was a little stinker sometimes when he was quite small. Must be coming out now all these years as a little Freudian slip! hee heee heeee...
But, with all bias and prejudice aside, Jace is one of the nicest kids to know! Gotta give you some hard time here though kiddo!
Lookin' forward to seeing your new one!
