Good Schools for Graphic Design

Have you studied graphic design, or know of some schools that have reputations for good graphic design programs? Tell us about them. Give us your list for the best.

Colleges, Universities, and Home-study courses - list them all here and give us your feedback. Or, if you're in the field but haven't been formally trained, tell us how you did it.

This thread has been cross posted, to get as many responces as possible. Check out the other responces here:

Thanks for helping all us in the Student's Dorm!

Re: Good Schools for Graphic Design

OK 72 looks and surely someone must atleast know of a school doing graphics design that has a decent program. This has also been cross posted in digital and illustration... I dont know what more I can do to get replies unless people actually... reply! lol

When I was in NSCAD, I was told the graphic design program was very good there, and that many of the grads got picked up in some pretty good jobs right after finishing. Not doing GD myself, i dont have much more information outside of that. I just know it seamed to be a pretty popular program.

Well, gotta do what we can, and when it doesnt work out, just keep truckin

Maybe someone has some good sites that has some ratings of graphic design programs? Or knows of other forums that'd be worth a look?

Re: Good Schools for Graphic Design

Here in Ohio, the University of Cincinnati has the highest rated Graphic design Program. I am transferring to Ohio State and the program there isn't too bad. As for the other major universities, I haven't heard much about their programs.

Have you checked out Academy of Art University in SF? http://www.academyart.edu/ My daughter is into graphic design and is burning to go there when she graduates.
