Re: Newbie Help and Coffee House
Maggie...god luck...I'm sure you will be chosen for the program...you have so much insite and experience....they would be stupid not to have you in the program.
Mallory....hope it went well
Harry....Maggie is the WC guru...I'm sure she will figure it out....in the mean time...join in and chat with us...we won't bite...much.
Diane....weeds yuck....I really have to get started too. But I'd rather torch.
Well...I made a few large beads for the cake knife and serving thingy....hope the kiln fairies will be kind. Now to clean up after 2 13 year old...they were very funny shopping today...then they helped bring up all the stuff from the basement for our rummage sale coming up....so cleaning up a little after them isn't so bad. Gnite hugs....

Maggie got my fingers crossed for you , although I am sure that you do not need it.
Sueze glad to see you posting. Good luck on finding a new car.
Karen sounds like you had a very busy, and fun weekend. Enjoy resting up from it.
Mallory glad to hear that your cataract surgery went well.
Diane now that the warm up day is done, you are in for a standard week like the rest of us .
Harry i do not know why you are not able to start a thread. You should be able to. That said there are several threads that run here, so jump on into them.

OMG maggie.. sounds like a very wild dream! Must have something to do with your subconscious dealing with the credential interview
School, acting, then crashing and burning... I know you did a great job! at that interview and they would be CRAZY not to accept you... downright foolish if you ask me!

Re: Newbie Help and Coffee House
Yup Carlos my warm up day behind me.. Looks like in 2 months I'll be back to every 4th weekend so will not have to deal with this anymore.. which will be nice to have more weekends off than on.
Sueze.. the first one i did was hard because they are not very specific in how many feet for the wrapping wire.. so I ran out and had to "attach" another wire. I found that the beginning of the bracelet which is the loop part.. start in the middle of the wrapping wire.. so you have a bunch to the left and a bunch to the right... because once the loop is pulled together.. and wrapped together... you then need wrapping wire to go down the forming wires on two "strips".. the one section that only needs about 1 inch of wrapping for the design can be added on.. but it doesn't seem to really address that in the directions.. sigh maybe I need to reread.. any how let me know what you think.. also found it easier to wrap up the loose wire and use tape to keep it all together.. otherwise.. its one big old mess... just saying!
mallory is your eye all done? how's it going?
well must go to work.. and make the donuts.......

Re: Newbie Help and Coffee House
Hey all, thanks for the positive thoughts! I agree that I should get in, but I know that 34 (I've heard different numbers, but I'll go with this) people are interviewing for 22 spots. So, who are the 12 who don't make it in? Glad that's not my decision.
Sueze, Aren't rainy days supposed to be lucky for weddings? Maybe it holds true for car shopping also, that it will be a long relationship. We had a nice break from the rain, but it is supposed to return tomorrow.
Diane, Hadn't thought of the interview as acting, you're good! Okay, those bracelets look like something I'll just admire!
Karen, Hugs back to you! You haven't stopped since retiring, have you?
Carlos, Do you get the glass magazine The Flow? The latest issue is boro and pipes, not my thing. If you would like my copy, pm me your address and I'll send it to you.
Mallory, Glad all is going so well and I'm looking forward to my day. For me it's just my right eye and I hope it stays that way. Good part is my left eye has always been my stronger eye to begin with so it's used to doing most of the work.

Good morning. The sun is shining after a rainy night. That means my head feels better today than yesterday.
Carlos, Sunshine means I'll head to the post office to mail you the mag.
Happy Hump Day!

Re: Newbie Help and Coffee House
Hi all....I am beat....my legs are like rugger bands...and boy do they ache...too much standing...and steps the last few days....
Well the big week-end is over...so now I've been working on stuff for the wedding shower on the 14th....the cake knife and server are done...pics to follow soon...now I'm sandblasting the cake plate and glasses....haven't had to do any photo resist since we moved here so it took a while to locate and set-up the stuff....then I had to redo the vellum designs because...I was supposed to do them in the reverse....duh....a mind is a terrible thing to lose.
Carlos....Maggie's quicker than I...I really don't need my pipe essue either...if you know someone who would like it...just let me know.
Maggie...glad you are feeling better...we also have sunshine....
Well gotta get ready for church...see you later.

Re: Newbie Help and Coffee House
Hello! It's been a bright and sunny day here! I've stayed upstairs most of the day because it's not as bright as downstairs. My eyes are still sensitive to the light. They should be much improved tomorrow! See 'ya!

Re: Newbie Help and Coffee House
Carlos, Glad to have someone to pass it on to.
Karen, Sorry that I beat you to it. Well, no I'm not! I think Kris works in boro. Gaffette???
Mallory, My eyes have been sensitive to light my entire life, the hazards of having blue eyes, so I can imagine. So worth it in the end. What are your plans for Easter?
It was such a beautiful day today and I felt sooooo good for a change. There is another storm heading our way so I'm hoping feeling good stays my way. Had errands today, seeing The Hunger Games with Katie tomorrow, but I may be able to sneak in some torching after the movie or on Friday. Really want to, just hadn't been feeling well enough.
