My scanner had a field day with this one... it's actually pink and orange, and not nearly this yellow!

*sigh*

(at least it's better than my Tucan fiasco)

Oh, oh, I'll never get to bed with so many beautiful things to look at!!! Do you have photoshop??? It's great for tweaking things like this but I think this beautiful! It really looks like it's glowing right now with the rays of a setting sun. I know in person, it is only more beautiful...

Wingnut,
Great rendering here. I love the colors as they show now too.

Hey, I think our scanners are related! I get that white "static" in mine all the time.

Remember folks when it snowed on my Horus?

Have a great day!

Wow wingnut, this is my kind of picture! It's got that whole illustration thing going on... but that's what you do, isn't it?... Illustration? ...so I guess that's why it has that.
Did I ramble enough yet?
By the way, I like it, and I like those colours, but I bet it's even nicer in person, because scanners never do justice to a picture.
Did I ramble enough...now?

Very well done. Full of highlights - which is what I think really "make a picture.

This is great Wingnut. I was afraid of that neck. Looked difficult to me.

Looks very graceful. Nice color blending, too.

Great texture Wingnut, this is great I bet in any tone... and if you want me to, I will re-pink it for you in photoshop, though I don't think you need it...

I was gonna finish my own flamingo fiasco, but after this, I think I'll just wait till next week's night...

Great job!

Bobby

I think you did a good job on this Wingnut - great strokes and shading.

Even if the colours are not as in the original, it is a lovely bright bird.

Thanks everybody for the nice comments!

Yes it's CP, about 8x10 on Strathmore drawing medium.

and no Bobby, we don't need to tweak it anymore, I need to shoot my scanner instead - but thanks for asking.

Another thanks to Animal for the great pics!
