Hails from Canada
.. not sure I'm sold on that much red but aside from my personal preferences, the piece is a delight. Love the silly little smirk on the girl ; reminds me of my grand daughter when she thinks she's pulled one over on me.

Encore

Nothing wrong with commissions as long as they are on your terms. Way to go Jnet.

Personally, I only do commissions that give me unrestricted freedom on the painting. For example, I had a commission to do a "religeous work". I cut the person off right there and said I can do that. If they say well I want a such and such scene depicted. I tell them I am not interested. I might even be more inclined to do something more specific, as long as there was an understanding that in the process of doing the painting, I could very well loose my sh1t and create something totally off the wall, and that they should not have any specific expectations.

Very nice work Jnet. I'm sure they were very happy with the work.

you have tied the two figures together so well....i especially like the way you did the hair, blonde is sometimes difficult to get a full tonal range with....energy flows from one figure to the other by stylistic synchronicity....i really like this painting...
