Nothing wrong with commissions as long as they are on your terms. Way to go Jnet.
Personally, I only do commissions that give me unrestricted freedom on the painting. For example, I had a commission to do a "religeous work". I cut the person off right there and said I can do that. If they say well I want a such and such scene depicted. I tell them I am not interested. I might even be more inclined to do something more specific, as long as there was an understanding that in the process of doing the painting, I could very well loose my sh1t and create something totally off the wall, and that they should not have any specific expectations.
