Progress Photos

I think you all like progress photos.. I spent a couple of hours croping and adjusting levels on 90 photos taken during that bass drum paiting.
Hope someone finds this usefull, I have not yet commented each photo.

Re: Progress Photos

Nice job!

I enjoyed looking at it. A lot to learn, just by looking at the pictures.

Thanks.

Re: Progress Photos

Hi Nice work, one thing, I would like to comment on and this has nothing to do with the quality of the artwork, but more about the subject. I think that the skull should instill fear in you but this looks like the subject is smilling.

Just what I see.
Thank for the link to your work.

Glen

Re: Progress Photos

I see your drum was allot of work. How did you prep the leather before painting?

Re: Progress Photos

The skin was a new Ambasador Coated Skin. The coating is rough and takes paint like illustration board. All I did was wet scuff it with a red scotch bright pad to remove any loss flakes of coating and I used some Spray Nine Cleaner to scrub off the manufacture logo. Did the painting and cleared it with 2 lite coats of matte rattle can.
