Black Labrador in acrylic

I've recently finished this painting in acrylics of my friend's very old labrador. It was from a photo which was a bit blurry, and being an all black animal, I found it harder to paint than some others I have done. Anyway here it is...

aww, that is lovely, it has a beautiful gentle feel to it, perfect for a elderly black lab! i think your friend is going to be over the moon

Exceptional ! One of the best black lab paintings I've seen.

The juxtaposition of the reddish grey and the green/blues is a great colour choice.

I agree with Simon! Just a wonderful black lab painting! Great colour use and really nice personality shining through those eyes!

Very well done! Reminds me of Bolivar, my hubby's old black lab, who passed away three years ago.
