Re: Thursday morning how are ya's???!!!

Hi all!!!
Just back from up in "America" while the house was being tented...stayed with my Mom near Bradenton and man did it get cold up there..... I might as well have stayed with Dilly in Michigan!!! I stayed at my neighbors last night as I was still not comfortable coming back in here after all that gas!! Left the big attic exhaust fan on all night and the windows open and today I'm ok ......... I guess. (yucky stuff!)

The neat stuff is that my landscaper finally is working and when I got home all my plants and trees are sitting in the backyard! I'm so excited to have some green here in paradise!! My yard has been bare for a year!!! I have some palm trees and various other tropical stuff including some jasmine and heliconias (which are like bird of paradise) and lots of neat stuff. Can't wait until we get it all set and the brick patio done!

Ellen...... sending you lots of peaceful thoughts and white light to get you through this difficult time. Time does heal.... but our hearts never forget.

Hope everyone has a great day..... and here's my advice for the day...... find a warm cozy spot and take a nap!!!
Peace,
Lois

ok... will do Ellen. Once the gas fireplace is in then we need to finish all the carpentry and slate tile setting. There is plans for book shelves flanking each side too.

Good morning Wc friends
I haven’t been around much. I am in the process of building a web site for Mississippi Home Again. This is a none profit grass roots movement started by 2 women who have been going to Mississippi and making a difference in hurricane relief. It is amazing to see what 2 driven women can do compared to a organization like FIMA.

This is their mission statement:
"The Mississippi Home Again Relief Fund is a non-profit organization established to help Mississippi Gulf Coast residents with limited financial resources to resettle in their homes after Katrina, a critical step on the long road back to normal life, independence and dignity. We assist these individuals and families by replacing their most fundamental, most costly household essentials destroyed in the hurricane: typically hot water heaters, stoves, refrigerators and beds. We also aim to replenish their spirits with personal attention, empathy, compassion and humor.
Through our direct, one-on-one assistance, we support and accelerate the overall economic, social and emotional recovery of the region and its residents. We augment this support by purchasing goods locally."

This is a link to their web site, I am still working on this ~ it is a total labor of love.
http://www.mississippihomeagain.org/

The women send me stories of their experience and pictures and I post them on the web site like a cyber journal.

I hope you all have a warm and wonderful day,
Rae
