Question lighting for shadow boxes

I just finished a project that is sort of assemblage, sort of shadow box and want to light it from within. I was thinking of using a battery operated LED mini keychain flashlight-any other suggestions?

Hi pollysma, welcome to Mixed Media. I wish I could answer your question but I am not very good in that field. I'm sure someone will come up with suggestions.

Re: lighting for shadow boxes

I'm building backlit boxes for my digital collages printed on vynal. There is a mini fluorescent light that comes in various sizes and can also be chained together. I can't at the moment remenber where I got mine, but I found them on the Internet from searching for backlit frame information. It is a lighting company not a frame company. I'm at work so can't look it up. Will try to remember when I get home.

There are led string lights that are battery operated and also you can get transformer operated leds as well. Internet search should give you a good start.

Re: lighting for shadow boxes

Found the invoice for my mini florescents to make a backlit frame - htpp://www.all-lights.com.
This is what I ordered to make my backlit frames: "M-series SIR Microfluorescent Link MF 841S-AL 8 15.5 Cool White"

Hope this helps. -Jeri
