What Is It?
Happy Monday All!
Thought it'd be fun to play a game for a change I have to get in all the sculpting I can this week as I have company from Canada coming friday so I'll have to trade my tools in for a sewing machine for a few days.
I've had this idea for a sculpture for some time so this morning I started playin' around with it a little. Took this pic before I was too far along so I could see how many of you can guess what it will be or 'should' be LOL This is regular white earthenware...so far. Waiting for all kinds of creative answers

Hey Di:
You've got some good guesses going here! My first thought was the beginnings of a bear or dog. Given the angle of the mount I agree with Yielding in that I think it's a bucking bull. or cow jumping over the moon ( moon yet to be added ) tee hee
Have you decided yet what it's going to be? And what a proper looking armature you have there girl.
Now I have to go see a man about a hog
Best,
Kathy

ROFLMAO...I think that's how it goes Coming in here makes my day!! And good guesses I might add...buuuut noooo ya'll have to think a little harder on this one. Actually when I started I had an idea of what I was going to make but I have been known to change my mind. I didn't in this case. I will say that I now have some rather interesting??? options for my next piece
Okay, I'll give another hint. Hope this one doesn't give it away. I actually have quite a lot done today but I tought I'd play around for another day before I post a proper pic.

I give up. After that last picture you posted all I can think of is a 'wrinkly' potato that's sprouted legs... A shark with lots and lots of gills?

Hey Di:
That latest image was about as helpful as a fly swatter full of holes!
I'll have to ponder on this one over-night
Best I think,

Could it be a sculpture of your new tiny head?

Been so busy trying to repair my ceramic tile I almost forgot to post this
Well Kathy... this is ONE skinny pig, wouldn't you say! It's not very far along yet but I'm having fun with it. I thought one of you would get it from the very first pic because back home every grocery store has these in the meat couinter and they look pretty much like that pic, except I didn't put in the tail bone. Hmm, guess it's not as common here in the US eh?
Thanks for all the great guesses...it was fun.

Diane,
That's one fine looking Wascawy Wabbit you've got there. The pose is very lifelike, and as far as I can tell it looks like everything is in proportion. You've done a really good job, despite having to respond about wrinkled potatoes.. Did you use a photo or some sort of model to do this?

Hi Di:
Are you sure that wasn't a pig and you changed it to a rabbit? just so you'd fool all us?
Well I have to admit thats one fine hare you got there. I like the way you have it leaping in mid air--so hare like
I think that both you and Max work really fast!
Thanks for lightening things up around here!
Best,
Kathy

I agree! Good anatomy, good action, good sculpture. And it looks like a big one too. Is that about life size?
