Excellent idea animal! That is a niche that I do not see in the forums and certainly there are a large number of artists here who would be interested in that! While I do mostly figure work, I do paint a lot of racehorses and hunt scenes..the result of working for a horseracing magazine several years ago...got hooked on animals as figures.

GREAT IDEA!!!! I would like to see this topic in Wet Canvas as well As a child I loved horses and from the early age five I started sketching them. In my second grade year my Grandmother gave me a Walter Foster book on drawing horses. I must have repeated every lesson in the book more times then I can count. I took my first best of show with a western work, "Packing In the Highland". I have been painting marine underwater works for the last 13 years. I also love the challenge of painting light under-water and dealing with all the negative-space, which allows me to crate a mood. I am also involved with the protection of whales and the marine Eco environment as well. I would just love a chance to share with other wildlife painters and animal artists, I know there is so much more I can learn and I love that challenge.

Sounds good to me. It doesn't fall under Drawing? Or did you mean a section for it like as in art school online and articles and stuff like that?

Rick, Ldybiss (aka Sandie) is one of my long-time art-buddies. She was staying with us last week, and I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to have you and Paula over to talk art. We will have to set something up in the future.
sandyartist, I think you and "Sandie" would hit it off very well. Hope we can all meet up in the future. Michael

Mike, Thanks for clearing up the mixup between Arron and myself. Although I also play guitar but nowhere at the level of Arron. Besides I'm more into Bluegrass and country. I love to listen to classical guitar just can't play well enough!
