Re: Pastel Storage - Beautiful, but practical
Cori- they have airlines!!!
Kathy- I will in fact send you one but this is pretty huge- if you will pay the shipping- which might cost more to Canada than the box itself, and the box, would be glad too.... my husband actually asked if I had LEFT any at the store- I did leave ONE (they only had 2).... it is about a 45 mile round trip, but worth it... BTW I showed my hubby the $275 box at Dakota's site- it is much smaller!!! and this is lined like Dave said- and has a mirror to check how much green you got on your face....perhaps I should start a 'bootleg' pastel supply business for you guys with beavers on their money???? (I am actually jealous- all we get are dead presidents- all the UK gets is dead queens)
cheers,
Linda

Re: Pastel Storage - Beautiful, but practical
Ok, after calling for an hour, I found the LAST one in Western Washington! A lot of the Lowes said they showed a couple in stock but they were already sold - but there's one out there with my name on it. Thanks again to David for posting about this.

Re: Pastel Storage - Beautiful, but practical
Wow - just got mine home, and this thing is lovely. I can't believe it was so inexpensive. I'm sure just owning such a nice toolbox will improve the quality of my art.

My husband has something like the wood box only metal and I think I'm going to the garage today to check it out.

Re: Pastel Storage - Beautiful, but practical
I guess I came to this party a bit late, but I did manage to find one of these in the Lowe's in Vero Beach, Florida, (only an hours drive from my home.) It was worth it though. I finally have all my pastels in one place. Had nooo idea I had accumulated so many! This is a great box--I can keep my Unison's in their foam containers and just put the whole container in these drawers. Thanks, David, for posting this.

Re: Pastel Storage - Beautiful, but practical
I just picked up two of these. The guy at Lowes said they carry them all year around.

Re: Pastel Storage - Beautiful, but practical
Ah,< whimper, cry, whine> I called in Arizona, The one store said they had one left, was connected to the tool dept to give my card no. to have them hold it. No joy in mudville; it was badly damaged and on its way back to the manufacturer. Here it is only available around Christmas. The mgr did say California had the only stores with these in stock.
I'm glad to read here that the Calif stores have them year round. Next trip through I'll have to stop at a Lowes. I want 2 or 3. For pastels, for jewelry, and for whatever. That is such a good price.
Congrats and cheers to all of you who actually got one.
