My first painting in 12 months
I've been quite ill and unable to paint. This is my first painting in 12 months. The picture is not as yellow as the photograph. It's from a photo, because I cannot drive any more with safety.
Any gentle comments are welcome.
Gordon.

Welcome back, Gordon! Marvellous shadows near the fence. Trees are great. We're so glad you'd post, and that you're up to painting!

Re: My first painting in 12 months
Gordon,
I'm delighted to see that you are painting again!! This reminds me of a scene from a movie that is one of my husband's favorites but I can't recall the title. The hero is chasing the heroine and they come to a fence...she runs around the end but he is macho and leaps over it...lol!
I like the strong composition with the pathway leading up the hill and around the end of the fence taking my mind into the scene and longing to walk there Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you'll be back more often!!

Re: My first painting in 12 months
Gordon, I've missed you so! It's nice to see you back to painting. I love this composition and the soft subtleties of the light. Glad you're feeling up to painting even if you can't get out.
We have a special thread now where our Plein Air forum members can post their studio paintings within our forum. Here is the one for the month of November. Feel free to add this painting to the thread, as well as any others that you do in the studio and would like to share with us. We love to see your work.
