Talking Second Picture-not as scary

<IMG SRC="http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/01-Mar-2001/BearLake.jpg" border=0>
This is the second one I've done. The photo was taken by my husband at Bear Lake in the Trinity Wilderness area of California.

I like this one too!

I'd like to see more pinks and reds in both of them though. Perhaps it's the image?

OK,

Not too much to say, just wow. From what I can see you'll sail through your drawing classes!

Two landscapes - your specialty? Or coincidence?

Glad it wasn't as scary!

Yes, the image looks quite a bit different than the picture. I am not good with photoshop and my friend did this for me and we tried to get it close to what it actualy was but it looks quite different. I just wanted to post it anyway.

Well, I just wanted to get the pastels in my hand so I looked through my husband's photos and these struck me. I am sure I will mostly do landscapes, I don't know how to draw people yet. I really want to do some flowers; I might try getting someone to draw a big flower for me (until I can do it). I love nature though. With landscapes, it seems one can never run out of subject matter!

Just saw your first two works.
Must be a great way of starting off!

A very true statement Shari, there's nothing to beat a good landscape. This is another wonderful pastel, keep it up you're doing fine.

Looks like quite an artistic family.
You do beautiful pastels, and your husband takes great photos!
