Rose Hips

These are the fruits of the rugosa rose, those are the roses you see growing at the seaside. My front perennial border is edged by a hedge of these. The "hips" are high in vitaminc C and make good tea and jelly. Just another small study....

ps...off to a Sovek workshop this week-end, will post results

Nice one here Jan. Good variation of greens. so simple looking but it wouldn't be for me.

Have fun with your refresher course.

Re: Rose Hips

Hi Jan. ...Lots of stuff for a 6"x 8".. I bet that it looks great in a frame.
Love the color shift in the background yellow greens to the green purples. A lovely backdrop for the "hip" colors. (IMHO)
Good luck with the workshop. Looking forward to the reports. I am sure it will be great.

Take care, Frank.

Re: Rose Hips

Thanks everyone..that rose foliage is dense and tangled and was a challenge to paint. Glad you all like it.
