Post Now Hang it in the October Thumbnail Gallery

A new project has been announced in the WetCanvas! project system!

Title: October Thumbnail Gallery
Project Leader: Yorky
Relative Difficulty: Irrelevant
Type Restrictions: Painting
Medium: Watercolor paints
Subject: Not Applicable
Days open for signups: 32
Maximum participants allowed: Unlimited

Description:

In addition to posting in the Watercolor Gallery, members are invited to upload the paintings they have finished in October 2005 to this project to create a thumbnail gallery where all the posted paintings can be seen together.

The usual rules on project image size (200k Max) and medium would hold. Only watercolour paintings (including watercolour pencils and gouache) completed in September will be accepted and the description will be limited to:

The title (same as in the forum)

A brief description of the painting - with size, paper, and the url of the original thread (h ttp://www.wetcanvas.com.... etc to be found at the top of the original thread). Highlight the address, press CTRL+C to copy, then go to your post and press CTRL+V to paste. This will allow members wishing to comment on the painting or view the original thread to find it.

Please do not upload progress paintings, and if possible use the url provided in the painting description to respond in the original thread.

If you click on \"Browse the Gallery Exhibit (Finished Works)\" you can click on a participants name to see all of their submitted works or, if you click on the link \" To view all of the final entries on one page click here\" you will see pages of thumbnails of all paintings submitted. Click on a thumbnail in either case to view the full image and description.

Additional Information:

For more information on the project: Click here!

Remember, in order to help keep the discussions on projects organized, you should post your questions, suggestions, and comments on submitted work to the original threads.

Remember, in order to help keep the discussions on projects organized, you should post your questions, suggestions, and comments on submitted work here in this thread. By doing this, we allow other non-project efforts to not get "pushed down" by a swarm of project-related threads.

I really like this painting...it has an interesting composition. The overall feel reminds me a bit of Edward Hopper. Nice work!

Wonderful contrast here with the very deep darks and the sunlit car. My husband (a car nut) would appreciate this one too. Very nice.

What a delightful painting! I love your theme! We have many seagulls here on Lake Erie and they act just like you painted! You did them very well! I like the colors and composition too!

A really lovely piece of work. The girls are beautifully painted and their happiness comes shining through. The water behind them is very nicely done too.

You have given me something to aspire to. Many thanks.

Re: Now Hang it in the October Thumbnail Gallery

Both of my attempts to post work in the October Gallery have ended up in the September Gallery...Can't understand what went wrong as I came to this thread and proceeded from here.
