This here Giraffe (WIP)

I started this one tonight, done from a photo I took at the zoo in DC

Done on an odd sheet of arches watercolour paper 17.5 x 10.
Colours used so far-warm sepia, ultramarine blue, and lemon yellow.
Now that I have the background outta the way I can start on the fun part!!

Re: This here Giraffe (WIP)

I guess its just a warmer hue of normal sepia Its Daler-Rowney and its the first brown I pulled out. From what I can tell its a lot like burnt umber. But I've always liked sepia.

Re: This here Giraffe (WIP)

Hi Mandie,

You are off to a terrific start. I really like the haughty expression on your giraffe's face. LOL! Like "what are you doing with that camera????"

Interesting background, should make the giraffe really stand out when you put color on her.

Guess I'll start a second row since all those ladies are pushing and shoving in the front one. I brought the popcorn though.
