Post Heat Set Pastels

I was flipping through a Dick Blick catalog and saw an advertisment for heat set pastels. The claim is you can use a heat gun or even your oven to set them. Has anyone seen or tried these?

Seems a lot of vendors are carrying these now and I took a look at a set when I was in Pearl Paint last. Unfortunately, I've not tried them, so I can't give an opinion. I probably WOULD try them if they had more colors to work with. I'd want more of a selection -- I sorta can't see what use they would be -- unless it was for a basic background or something -- with those few colors they offer.
