Any comments on general direction, composition, colors, etc?

So far, you have created at least one set of complimentary colours; the red of the table and the green of the leaves. There does not appear to be any blue(s) for the pears which, at least from this image, appear to have a lot of orange in them. Perhaps the dark background could be(or include) a very dark blue. However, you may have already done this, and it simply isn't visible in this JPEG.

Hails from United States
suggestion

The tip of the branch is hanging in the spot light....so either it must be lighter or the pears must be darker.
