Question Help please?

Advise please ? I don't know weather to leave this one on AusAuction or take another risk and put it on eBay.

Mona ended with 1085 views and 151 watchers. 5 bids but didn't reach the reserve.

Re: Help please?

SPOOKY! With Halloween getting closer over here, I bet it would do well on ebay. I can see it appealing to all the Goths too. In fact, if you move it, be sure to use GOTH in your title.

Glad I didn't see this right before bedtime last night! hahaha.

Re: Help please?

Te,

I don't think it would make an impressive gallery pic.

However, do you want to show us what it would look like as a gallery pic?

That would be helpful in helping us to determine whether it should be ebayed or not.

I like this image alot, but somehow I am not sure it will sell on ebay, honestly speaking.

The last time I did a search on halloween art I saw alot of images in blacks and oranges.

Nina, I had no intention of selling it as a halloween piece.
Here is what it might look like as a gallery pic. So it probally won't work or sell.

Thanks for replying Nina and Helen

Since the gallery pic won't grab the viewers of ebay when they are scrolling through hundreds of gallery pics, my advice is not to ebay this painting.

Those ebay listing fees add up so fast!

I like your painting a great deal though.

I just want to say that the value of a work of art and whether or not it sells on AA or ebay are 2 different things.
Remember that, gf.
Please do not think that salability on auction sites has any bearing on the artistic value of the artwork. I definitely don't.

Re: Help please?

I actually find the gallery pic attractive and would click on the auction if I were searching through art listings. The composition catches my eye immediately in the smaller picture, and it's difficult enough to tell what it is that I'd click on it out of curiosity. If you want to catch my attention with a gallery pic, it's a great advantage if I can't figure out what the picture is _of_ --if I can tell what the subject matter is easily, I'm more likely to quickly bypass it if I'm not interested in that subject matter.

Of course, I like the full-sized picture a lot, too, but unfortunately I'm not in the market to buy at the moment ;-)

By the way, though, I also immediately pass when I see that something is going to be shipped to me unstapled, etc. I would at least give a more expensive shipping option for people like me who wouldn't buy something that was on stretched canvas and then removed.

Re: Help please?

Hi KK, thanks for your input.

I really don't think anyone is going to pay nearly $500.00 or more for shipping. Plus packaging. I'm having enough problems trying to get a 3 foot painting shipped across Australia.
