Blow out repair

O.K.,maybe it should be called a bubble out. When A blown bead is a little thin on one side when being formed and you blow a bit too hard it will bulge way out and get super thin at the weak point. You could just melt it into a regular old bead or you can repair it.To get back to the original shape ,first melt the thin spot back to an edge equal to those of the uniform thickness of the surrounding bead.Next fill in that gap with fresh glass, reheat and reblow...another fun thing is to melt that thin edge away -use the gaping hole as a mouth and decorate a face around it.I recently got Donald Duck on acid by doing that...now to make the body!...Roger.
