Iris - WIP
Nitsa wanted me to do a WIP so I gotta do what the master of glass asks. So, here we go with anew one. I found this in the ref library, a photo by Granny R. She has several in there and I may be doing more of hers depending on how this turns out. Great photos. Anyway here's the layout so we'll see where it goes from here. I hope to get to throw some paint tonight after work.
Peace,
AL

Re: Iris - WIP
Wow guys thanks for the kind words, I needed that. For those who know me know that with painting I'm like a fish out of water. This is so very new to me and I have sooooo much to learn. Mixing paint is one of those things I don't know how to do. So trying to get a peach color ... well, I gave up and went with my old standy... earthtones. So far, and it may not change much, I'm using Red Oxide, Cadmium Yellow Medium and White. And most of this is done with a #1 round brush, which wouldn't be bad but... did I tell ya this is on a 16X20 canvas? Hmmmm, this could take awhile. Anyway, I got a start on this last night after work so here's where it stands now.
Again I want to thank you all for the comments.
Peace,
AL
