Brown Linoleum

Hi, All

Just got through perusing the new Daniel Smith catalog, and I saw that they now carry a kind of brown linoleum which is described as being developed specifically for printmaking, and that it is capable of holding fine detail.

Has anyone tried this? And if so, what did you think of it? Is it an improvement over the golden cut lino?
Carol

At first I assumed that this is the same new stuff that Blick put in their catalog- But, now that I look at MY new Daniel Smith catalog, I see that it is different- The Blick stuff is 1/4" thick, this is 1/8th...

The only thing I dont like is the color- Seems kind of dark??

About the color.. I agree. It seems like it would be harder to see as you are cutting. But, nothing like trying it out.. I think I'll order a piece or two to see if it is any different from the golden. -C
