Mushroom Man

Mushroom Man (a tribute to the late John Allegro).
This is a digital marquetry work made of images of concrete, burnt wood, plaster, asphalt, and painted steel.
The lines come from and old chalk sketch of mine that I recently uncovered.

Re: Mushroom Man

Oh this is nice, the background reminds me of shiny burnt charred wood and the inset copper flowing design is deliciously good. All those elements combine to make a beauty of a work.

Lynxes

Thanks for the positive review.

"the background reminds me of shiny burnt charred wood"

That's because the background is a digital image from a photo of charred wood.
I'm using textures and colors from my photo safaris as my palette in this series.

Re: Mushroom Man

I love the rich texture & organic feel.
