what is your intention?
what meaning will you be attempting to portray?
what medium?
will color play a role? How?
what is focal point? How will you indicate?
How will you treat the edges?
will there be foreground/background? or a flat/"surface" treatment.

PS - "soon" is never soon enough.

Well,

I have none.
Painting will be purely for an aesthetic interest
It will Acrylic on board 28.5"X20.5".
Not much as there will be two white and cerulean blue
About 2/3from left and up a 1/2 if the lower left corner is the origin
FG/BG... Well in a way. The blue will be painted on ridges of plaster of paris on the board.

I may rework this if it is too much of a confused mess.

I wish I could paint sooner. But i have 3 paintings in different
stages at the moment that I am working on and this will be too much. Soon...

It will be interesting to see how this translates to paint.

The one thing I would say is that from your sketch it would appear that you are not relating your marks to the edges of the canvas.

What is the centre of interest?

Sandra:

And, I was about to comment that this seems too related to the edges: nothing moves off of the canvas, every line or shape exists within pretty well-defined boundaries, and several of the lines and/or shapes seem almost to mirror the edges.

yeah,,,,i wonder what that one squiggly line thing is doing.....

actually,,,placing lines on a sheet are quite different from how they will eventually play out when you create the shapes that will carry them through. so i see this sketch only having meaning to you....{M}

Thanks everybody.

Thanks Sandra, Keith an bruin70. I agree with you bruin70. This will be quite different with paint on board. I did mean to suggest a confining aspect in this composition. I am going to name it The Reflex. Make whatever of it now. I will discuss more when I post the actual painting. Thanks everybody.
