Acrylics on 32 x 24 inch canvas
I'm wanting to go over a number of my older acrylic paintings to see if I can improve them for the show at the end of May. I put
Sweetheart in the Little Blue Dress up on the wall and knew that she was a must. I've gone over the face again completely with a few other touches.
The first photo as is she is now, and the second as she was. The third is the whole painting as she is now. The mouth is actually at the correct angle, but I am thinking of softening and lightening the lips. I now see that the chin needs reshaping for more roundness and the shadow on her left side is the same colour and tone as the neck which unfortunately makes her chin look as if it is the wrong shape on that side.
Do you see anything else which would improve the painting? Should I smooth out the colours on her left cheek?
