leaflin, what kind of wood did you use? You seem to have cut away all the wood around the racoon, and that is a lot of work. In my past woodcuts I always use a high grade of fir, because it is hard enough to hold up to printing an edition up to about 100, but soft enough to cut without too much trouble.

I like this print. Animals are always fun to do, and racoons are one of my favorite critters I like the pose you have him in, he looks comfortable yet ready to take off at the first sign of danger.

The wood is a piece of 1"x12" pine shelving which would not hold up to much stress.

When I did the print I used the back of a wooden spoon.

The overall size is 12"x16"

I did carve out all the wood around the little guy and made it like a frame even sanded it as smooth as I could

(I believe this might show my obsessive/compulsive side )

I have it hanging on the wall as a piece unto itself.
