Phila area - South Jersey - Delaware Get-Together?

Any interest? I've gotten some pms from folks who would like to meet other folks from wetcanvas and I thought I'd float this. There was one in the works last year, but I think it folded. I couldn't go anyway.

If we did do this, what would you be interested in doing? I'm thinking a giant plein aire, hangout, byo picnic at a public park early this summer would be fun. Post here if you're intersted in attending or in helping organizing.

Depending on the time of year, I might be able to attend. I have done this with others and it can be a wonderful time for all parties involved. I have done this in Ohio, Florida, Massachusetts and South Carolina and it is a great way to put faces to names, I highly recommend it.

Well, I doubt it will happen. I am not permitted to post a notice in the forums, and don't have time to search through all the members' sites looking for folks, and this particular forum doesn't get much traffic.

Hi Robin! Thanks for the PM! I would be interested in going to a WC event in the Philly area. I also talked to my dad who is a WC member and lives in S. Jersey and he said he'd be interested too.

I'll help spread the word as much as I can. Off the top of my head, I can think of 3 people who would be close enough that they might be interested. So don't give up just yet!

Have you PM'ed a lot of other people? If so, how did you find people in the area? I don't want to duplicate effort of things you already did, but wouldn't mind helping you drum up interest.

Ha, ha, I pm'd YOU, then thought there must be a better way, contacted some mods and got mixed messages about whether I should put a message on their forums. I think it's okay to post in the non-art daily chats. Yes, the more the merrier in my opinion! I think it would be super!
