gorgeous...it's really classy looking. one small suggestion would be to crop just a bit more from the left side? would balance it all better.

Beautiful, Clasje! Your home page has some lovely work, as well. I couldn't get the link to "Her Work" going. Might be my computer?

Re: A Rose for Valentine's Day

may i please make two unwanted suggestions about your site?

1. please have a way to turn OFF the music. some of us play our own music, or we like silence and find music to be a distraction. if you can't turn it off, i would seriously consider taking it off completely as you're trying to showcase your art, and not your music.

2. your high speed took way too long to load. i quit it after close to 2 minutes. i'm on one of the fastest cable connections around. i see no reason for the bells and whistle version when the dial up version works so nicely.

I love this piece. The contrast between your deep, dark, rich background and the delicate fragility of the rose petals is fantastic. Thank you for posting--it's gorgeous!

Re: A Rose for Valentine's Day

Clasien - I too was one of the ones who thought "nice photo - where's the painting?"

This is lovely - and so nice not to have a red one for V Day.

You're obviously taking to CP - I'd love to see you do a WIP on a flower.

Katherine

Re: A Rose for Valentine's Day

Wow, such nice responses on viewing my rose. Im just tickled pink!
A big thank you to JoAnn, Arlene, Fran, Rita, Nicole, Sanford, BKWRM, Sue, Rosa and Katherine for your praise. It really means a lot.

Katherine you mentioned that you would love to see a WIP on one of my flowers. Well, as it happened, I took progress pictures of this rose along the way.

Re: A Rose for Valentine's Day

Thanks to all for the comments regarding the Clasje's website. It is such constructive input that allows us to be aware of the issues, respond to them and consistently improve our approach.

Pursuant to Arlene's comments, we have now added a mute button to the main page to allow user sound controllability. With reference to the speed issue, I have responded privately to that and will certainly follow up further to hopefully make your virtual visits with Clasje an enjoyable experience!

Thanks again,
Steve (Clasje's Web Guy)
