Gesso River

I had an idea and gessoed over an old painting (Easter Monring) repainted, added more gesso, painted over that, applied some more gesso with a very rough bottle brush, painted those areas again. Added some oil pastels, painted some more.
I dont know if its done. I think there's still gesso bits that need to be covered.
Is it worth additional time and effort?

I almost missed it and it's already one of my favourites !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to look for some "misérables" and try this technique too ! You've given me ideas.

Definitely worth it Kathleen......the colours are so vibrant!!!...all it needs is the frame!!...
