11/16" x 11/16" miniature frame/miniature
I have put this in to some other forums but I was not sure if I had put this in the miniature forum. Slap my hands if I had put this in too many times. Fun with this one! Image 5/16" x 6/16" Waterbased oil.

Jaef, this is really tiny. Great detail.
Where did you get the adorable frame? It's a necklace isn't it?

Jim, I remember when you were trying to decide what to put in that frame! The eye came out great. I don't know if I could paint that small. It might be fun to try sometime!

Jim, this is so neat! I'm really glad you did the eye, it is perfect for that tiny frame, and I just love the whole concept.

Jamie and minibrush-
The funny thing is that I sent a number of pics of this to others. One of the people works at the local paper. Well I got a e-mail and she said can we come to your place and get a pic of this? Well they are going Thursday and get a shot this. This will be interesting. Well tell you what happened.

How exciting. Well deserved recognition. That will be fun, I think. Do you suppose you will revive this lost art of eye portraits?
congrats,

Mini-
I do not think that this piece will change the world anyway!! My wife said asked me a question last night. About this piece--- "Why?" My answer was--
"Because!!" That is what artists do. They paint because. Right now I will not paint another one. If I find a frame--------- maybe. It was fun!! I was going to do this earlier but I had lost the frame. It was so small that I thought it was lost. What I had done was to put it so I would not loose it. Put it in a miniature box.
Paintsplatter- Yes we all grow when we challenge ourself.
Valentine's Day is coming. A Challenge? I used to make Valentine's. Lets make one for others with miniatures. How about it?

That is so great!!! I've been in love with eye-portraits and their racey reputation for a while - you've inspired me to get one done.

Re: 11/16" x 11/16" miniature frame/miniature
Helen-
You wandering how the paper had to do with this miniature eye. Well they did a good job with our family the other artists in this. They did a good job but they made the image 1 7/8" x 2 1/4" It made the frame 4" x 5 1/4". It made the penny 4 inches long!! It made the idea quite ruff. Then it was not as bright because of the paper being quite ruffy. However, sure got a lot of press!! Went to church today and sure had a lot of comments from the paper!! They asked like, "Who's ey?" Is this your wifes eye? (My wife said, "This does not look like me!!) On and on!!! Lots of fun!
As to will I do this again? May not do this again. Other things to do.
Thanks for the comments.
