I like this. Very relaxed and sunny portrait.

I would just like to see a bit more definition on the baby, perhaps with some darker values as I am finding it hard to make out the shapes.

Also, I would knock back the bench a bit colour-wise as it is much more vibrant than the lovely muted palette in the rest of the work and is drawing the eye a little too much.

Thank you so much, Sandra! I will be working on defining baby next, and will definitely take your suggestion regarding bench... It will receive a violet wash to tone down..

I stopped back by - for some reason my browser still won't show your pianting. Could it be a bmp image instead of a jpeg or jif. I read in another thread that some people hadn't been able to see an image there because of this.

This is a jpg. It has not been uploaded to WetCanvas but is shown via a link to another website. I'm guessing you can't see it because of your connection to this other site.

I haven't had any trouble seeing this picture. I would suggest refreshing your browser a couple of times or keep checking back and hopefully it will show.

I agree toning down the bench and defining the baby.
The Mother looks great, you have captured the pride that she has for her child. Lovely soft piece.

Jeanine where are you going to put the geese?
I think they will add that extra bit of zing to an already great piece.
