Project Discussion: The Patterns of Nature
A new project has been announced in the WetCanvas! project system!
Title: The Patterns of Nature
Project Leader: Jacek
Relative Difficulty: Irrelevant
Type Restrictions: Painting
Medium: Watercolor paints
Subject: Not Applicable
Days open for signups: Always
Maximum participants allowed: Unlimited
Description:
This is your challenge to explore Nature in its many forms close-up.
Make a painting or drawing of a close-up of some natural object like a plant, cloud, net, feather, etc.
Such fragments of the surroundings may show just the structure of an object or an impression it has made on you.
Good luck and have fun!
I'm looking forward to seeing your entries!
Additional Information:
For more information on the project: Click here!
Remember, in order to help keep the discussions on projects organized, you should post your questions, suggestions, and comments on submitted work here in this thread. By doing this, we allow other non-project efforts to not get "pushed down" by a swarm of project-related threads.

Aquila, your mystical abstraction is inspiring for different interpretations. It is very brave and effective the way you use blacks – they builds strong diagonal composition. Thanks for taking part!!

Hi Donna,
your sketches and watercolour both in Progress and Final Entries are quite expressiv close-up images of nature. It is also interesting to see how you explore unconventional areas to look for patterns. Thank you for posting! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Re: Project Discussion: The Patterns of Nature
Thank you both for your kind comments. I can take criticism too if you have any suggestions of what I should take in to consideration to improve my next attempt at this project (which I'm already working on)
Pampe, I've been following your paintings for a while now so it was especially flattering to get such a nice comment from you!
My thanks to you both,
Judy

Three colors gives good discipline, I like the way it harmonizes your beautiful painting. Thank you for both great entries with original patterns!
Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Re: Project Discussion: The Patterns of Nature
Tsunami Art Aid took over our attention recently,
but perhaps it’s time to come back to our search for patterns of nature …

It is powerful and very original entry, Nina. I like the way you let paint and brush to talk their way. It is interesting to see how different areas artists look for inspiration!
Thank you for posting! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
