Post Project Discussion: Nature ATC

A new project has been announced in the WetCanvas! project system!

Title: Nature ATC
Project Leader: Dreams-of-Flight
Relative Difficulty: Easy
Type Restrictions: Any Type
Medium: Any Medium
Subject: Not Applicable
Days open for signups: Always
Maximum participants allowed: Unlimited

Description:

This is your chance to share your love of nature in its many forms. Anything goes - Ancient gnarled trees, summer meadows, a single rose, a leaf, breathtaking canyons, mountains and waterfalls, your favourite sandy beach, the choice is yours.
Use your favourite medium, or play with some new ones, have fun!

Guidelines

Cards must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches / 64 x 89mm. Cards should be new work / available to trade.

The focus here is nature, not people or animals or buildings. However... sometimes animals or people or buildings can provide a sense of scale, so as long as the main focus of your work is nature, feel free to include whatever you like.

Work posted here is welcome to be cross posted in other projects and threads, share your creativity with as many people as possible.

Additional Information:

For more information on the project: Click here!

Remember, in order to help keep the discussions on projects organized, you should post your questions, suggestions, and comments on submitted work here in this thread. By doing this, we allow other non-project efforts to not get "pushed down" by a swarm of project-related threads.

Very nice. I like the rose especially. Would you like to trade? I have some untraded ATC in people, and main ATCs.

BTW, what is a corner cutter? It gives a smart finish. I'd like one of those.

In the UK you should be able to find corner cutters in most art/stationery shops, anywhere that sells rubber stamps will have them. Quality varies A LOT, so don't buy unless you try first to make sure they give a nice clean edge. (I used to sell art supplies, including these). There are plenty of cheap punches available that work ok on thin paper, but can't do card well. FISKARS (www.fiskars.com) is a company that specialises in scissors and other cutters of very good quality, and they now do corner cutters, border cutters etc. Big department stores like John Lewis often have a surprisingly good craft department that stocks them, and there are loads of suppliers online too.

Re: Project Discussion: Nature ATC

Thanks for your welcome. I've put some more up now. I have more in progress also.
Can anyone tell me if there is any thread anywhere about the ART of working so small? I have my methods but I'd certainly like to discuss the art of making these cards with others.

Hey, I really like this one, the materials and subject are so symbolic of the way you seem to be handling your medical difficulties and life curve balls!
Really enjoying seeing how you are experimenting using different collage and painting and drawing medias also.
PM me if want to trade ey...feel a bit greedy having traded four already, but what the hey! Black Pearl
