The Co-Founder of Amway has passed away at the age of 80. His wife passed away in January of this past year. He & his family and partner Rich DeVos have contributed so much to the Greater Grand Rapids area. His legacy will certainly live on...

Yes, a really good man! They did contribute a lot, and they will definitely be missed. My brother-in-law worked a number of yeras at Cygnus (sp?) at the top of the amway tower in G.R. as their matre'd. I have really fond memories of visiting my sis many times in G.R. Do you know if Amway products are still even sold, or did they move on to other endeavors?

It is sad, that he passed away. He will be missed. Amway is still going strong, and all over the world now. I am still a member, even though I am just buying my own products right now. I am too busy, making glass beads LOL Parts of it are under a sister company, called Quixstar.

Quixtar is Amway's internet business model, I think. I for one liked the Amway products when I used them. Its too bad that a handful of "bad" (money-hungry and unethical) reps did so much damage to Amway's reputation.

Didn't know about Quixstar, I'll have to check it out. Yes, I knew of only one of "those" reps, but it's always a shame. Guess it can be said of any business though. Thanks for the link.
