Hey y'all!
What this site needs is a forum concerning the art...of calligraphy! What do y'all have to say about it?

Thanx!

Ace,
A little history to possibly help u with your request for a calligraphy forum...

Originally this site didn't have a Colored Pencil forum. It was incorporated into the drawing forum.

First one or two people started posting their colored pencil works in the drawing forum, then that inspired alot more people to try their hand at colored pencil.

Eventually, half the posts in the forum were from colored pencil drawings. At this point we started to realize that the needs of CP were different from drawing and a group of us asked for a separate forum...We took a vote and had a clear majority.

My advice would be to post your work here and/or the pen and ink forum and see if you have more people posting theres, asking questions, trying it as a new medium.

I wish I could answer that question for you, but I don't know how to go about publishing something like that. I think you can look up "publishing" in googles or hopefully someone will come up with the reply for you.

We have a calligraphy subforum but there are so few of us who actually do calligraphy that it has turned into a celtic art forum. But if you would join the the calligraphy forum and maybe we can get some more interest in calligraphy. I have shown some of my calligraphy works but most of the people who show their calligraphy have actually drawn it. I actually do calligraphy I do not draw it. I would love to have another calligrapher in the forum.

Here is the link to our calligraphy forum http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=340

Blessed Be

I agree, the calligraphy forum, had changed into a Celtic art thing. I'm not expert on calligraphy, but I'm willing to learn.I'm starting to write my first letters with very little good results...anyhow I feel satisfied.

I've looked at all your prior posts and I cannot see any that had images attached to them. Did you post links to another website (MyPhoto)? It sounds like your images disappeared from that site and not from WetCanvas. That's why we recommend people use the uploader when posting images to the site, because if you use links and something happens to the linked site, the imagery is lost and the thread no longer makes sense.

Re: Calligraphy forum...?

If your photos were on MyPhoto, you're going to have to ask them how to retrieve them. If you had uploaded them to WetCanvas, they'd still be here.

Re: Calligraphy forum...?

As your pictures were not uploaded to WetCanvas! I'm afraid we can't help you. You should contact the site you uploaded the images to.
I doubt your images have been stolen.... it might just be a computing problem
